The Remains of the Day by Kazuo Ishiguro. Read it. Its touching, funny and deep all at once.
Shah Rukh Khans new abs are pretty ugly. I liked him MUCH better the old way. (No J Factor and all hanh!)
A poster at my IMS center says: What is popular need not always be right, and what is right need not always be popular. True. Look at the finalists of Indian Idol.
Why Does it always HAVE to rain when I don't have an umbrella?
How many chais can one have on a day? Is 14 unhealthy? *feigns ignorance*
I have a job in Bombay. The job's not your typical boring crap. It will pay me well. I'm going to be found every weekend in Cafe Mondegar (Hic) next year. Why am I not thrilled? Or remotely excited?
Why is it that you NEVER lose weight when you TRY?
Federer and Henin. Whoo hoo.
How dumb can people get?
Ans: This dumb:
The other day we were going to a friends place to shock her on her Birthday. We standing outside her apartment and this girl was supposed to join us.
(Phone Rings)
She: Helloooo...
Me: Where the **** are you guys?
She We're there in Ghod dod Road already ya...
Me: Great come over to Bikanerwala Sweets ok?
She: But you asked me to come to the Archie's Gallery!
Me: Its in the same building ya.
She: Oh.
Me: We're standing opposite it.
She: Opposite Bikanerwala or Archies?
Or this one:
We were coming out of a hectic RC class in IMS and this girl approached me.
She: Hi Jayanth. Studied anything in the afternoon?
Me: No ya. I was reading a book.
She: Oh really which one?
Me: Kazuo Ishiguro.
She: Sounds profound
Me: Yeah. It kinda won the booker and all.
She: Prizes don't make books good!
Me: I didn't mean it that way. Anyway, I liked all the booker winners I've read so far.
She: Hmmm. I prefer Jeffrey Archer and Chetan Bhagat.

Snob, you.
You're going to be in Bombay? That's nice.
14 is a lot! Take it from me. I have chai-stained teeth to prove loyalty to chai. He he. TMI.
Shah Ruukh's abs are ugh-ly. :( He was hotter in Chak De man.
Yay! A new post!
What's this about Bombay I hear? I thought you were going to settle in Bangalore with a cushy software job? :)
My loyalties have shifted from filter coffee to black tea. Heavily sweetened, a la "southern" style. Chai I don't particularly enjoy.
Bombay?
You know the difference between ab and flab, no?
@ Mal: Me too. I can't smile in front of the mirror anymore :( But its so Goddamn addictive!
@Pavan: Ya. I shifted from software to core chemical consultancy...Employed with Tata Cansultancy Services. I'm still a chemical engineer (Hic!)
@ Kulks: Trust me, no one knows it better than I do.
*Consultancy
(Sheesh! Surat has ruined me!)
yes people are dumb. accept it and move on.
i've had my vietnam. i dont want you to have another.
Somethings wrong with me...
Its not tata consultancy services...its tata consultancy ENGINEERS!
BTW Kunaal....what do you mean by vietnam?
Yay! 1 less software engineer in the world! I laud you for sticking to core. Chemical though it may be. :)
Hee hee @ TCS doing core chemical work.
Black tea wouldn't discolour your teeth, would it? Would it? :|
No it wouldn't. But the mother of all the beverages has to be chai.
Jeffery Archer is still passable
I have known "avid and pasionate" readers reading famous five and secret seven. errr....chetan bhagat...uhmm
